Committee Reports Detail

1.       (a) There shall be a Committee to be known as the “Human Rights 

Committee”, consisting of a maximum of sixteen Members, nominated by the Committee of Selection, for the approval of the plenary at the beginning of each session, or so soon thereafter as may be convenient.

            (b) It shall be the duty of the Committee to protect and promote human rights in the country, through its receptivity to developments in human rights awareness internationally and by working in collaboration with domestic as well as international human rights bodies.
