Biography

Profile Honorable Ernest Dura Koroma

He was born on April 17, 1987, in Bayande Town, Kambia, to JWY Koroma and Marie Nikamie Kamara. He is currently holding an esteemed position as a member of parliament in the Sierra Leone House of Parliament, the highest legislative body. He was elected as a Member of Parliament on June 26, 2023. He is the elder brother of Mohamed Bundu Abubakarr, Julian Yegbety, and Fatmata S Koroma.

Early life:

He was born in the Kambia Town of Kambia District in the northern part of Sierra Leone, and he belongs to the Limba tribe. Growing up in a deeply Christianhousehold, he is a devout Christian.

Education

He attended Kambia District Education Community Primary School, Government Secondary School Madina, Sierra Leone Muslim Congress Secondary, Kissy Freetown, and Methodist Boys' High School in Freetown. After completing secondary school, he pursued higher education at Fourah Bay College, Evangelic Theology, and Freetown Teacher College. He earned both a postgraduate diploma and a master's degree (awaiting) in education. He also holds a B.Sc. in Theology and an HTC Secondary (Physical Health Education) from Evangelic Theology and Freetown Teacher College, respectively.

Career

His illustrious career includes holding positions such as Personal Assistant. at the Ministry of Agriculture from 2012–2013 on political matters; Subject Teacher at Evangelical High School Wellington; Supervisor at Mount Everest Security Agency from 2004–2011 with the duties of protecting lives and properties, monitoring the operations of guards, and doing night patrols; and Security Guard at Hughes Security International from 2000–2003 on also protecting lives and properties.
